NOTES ON SUSAN SONTAG

This is not an academic dissertation, this is a love affair. At some point you stop trying to learn about Susan Sontag and find yourself listening instead to the interwoven stories of a mother and daughter, a critic and her critics, an artist and her muses- of a tough woman who broke rules and wrote rules and broke her own rules and didn’t apologize to anybody in the process.
